Phoenix Rising FC acquired defenders Tristan Blackmon and Shaft Brewer Jr., midfielder Javier Perez and forward Josh Perez from Los Angeles Football Club, the team announced Thursday.
Blackmon, Brewer Jr. and Perez all made appearances with Phoenix Rising in 2018.
Blackmon started eight matches in the regular season, and started in three of the four USL Cup playoff games for Phoenix Rising. Brewer Jr. made 10 appearances for Phoenix Rising, including two USL Cup playoff matches. Perez appeared in one match in 2018.
Perez was the 64th selection of LAFC in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
The four players give Phoenix Rising FC more depth, especially at the defender position, where the team was a little thin.
All four players loaned can be recalled by LAFC at any time, and are available for selection for Saturday night’s home opener against New Mexico United FC.
