Phoenix Rising FC has announced the signing of Jamaican midfielder Junior Flemmings.  The 22 year-old player comes to Phoenix after a successful season with the Tampa Bay Rowdies that found him playing in 26 matches (18 starts).  The five-foot-ten-inch tall player found the back of the net six times and tallied five assists and 26 key passes.

“Junior is the kind of players fans love to watch,” Rowdies Head Coach Stuart Campbell said. “He’s lightning quick and very experienced for his age.”

Flemmings was named to the 2016 USL 20-under-20 after an outstanding start with the New York Red Bulls II organization.  After a 1-goal-2-assist showing, he was named the Week 19 USL Player-of-the-week.

Flemmings has experience representing Jamaica at the U17, U20 and senior levels, earning a total of 16 International appearances since 2013.

Phoenix Rising FC has announced 10 other player signings.  To date, all players announced have been members of the 2018 roster.  Flemmings is the first player to be announced from outside of the organization.
