Phoenix Rising FC continues to bolster its already strong roster. Fans were teased with the signing announcement on Friday by Phoenix Rising Vice President Sam Doerr:
Adam Jahn joins Phoenix Rising FC after the completion of a three-year contract with MLS Columbus Crew SC which saw the forward on loan to USL Oklahoma City Energy during a portion of the season. Before his time with Columbus, the 27 year-old forward was drafted 15th overall in the 2013 Supplemental Draft by his hometown San Jose Earthquakes. The player spent 4 years with the Quakes organization, which included two loan stints with Sacramento Republic.
With big man Chris Cortez moving the Thai League 1, Rising FC had a tall order to fill. The 6’3″ center-forward seems to fit the bill nicely. Jahn has 27 goals at the MLS levels in 103 appearances (31 minute average), none more clutch than the penalty scored to quiet 72,000 screaming fans and eliminate Atlanta United from the 2017 MLS Playoffs.
“I’m extremely excited and honored to start this next phase of my career with Phoenix Rising FC. I’m committed to doing anything in my power to help the team bring home a USL Championship and I can’t wait to get started!”
