Phoenix Rising FC defender Amadou Dia and forward Didier Drogba earned USL honors for Week 5 of the season, the league announced Tuesday.

Dia was named to the USL Team of the Week and Drogba earned honorable mention honors for the week.

Dia won 14 of 21 duels and notched two tackles, two interceptions, and three clearances while helping the club shutout LA Galaxy II on April 11.

Drogba scored the team’s only goal, his first of the season, in the 1-0 victory over Galaxy II.

This is the fourth time in five weeks this season that a Phoenix Rising player or players have earned league honors.

Phoenix Rising FC returns to the pitch Saturday night to take on 2017 Playoffs opponent Swope Park Rangers at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
