Despite being four points up in the standings, OCSC only has 2 more matches in the regular season. As seen below, Phoenix now has two games in hand but will need a win Saturday night in close in pursuit. Phoenix can clinch a home playoff game in the first round with a win, or a loss by Reno 1868 FC and Portland Timbers 2.

Team News: Joe Farrell was named to the USL Team of the Week for his in the Rising’s 2-1 win over Colorado Springs last Saturday. Farrell scored the opening goal off a Solomon Asante corner kick. He also had a team-high 13 clearances and won 66% of his duels. Farrell’s inclusion marks the 10th different Phoenix Rising player to be named to the Team of the Week.  Loanee Tyler Blackman remains back with LAFC.  Jason Johnson is reportedly close to returning from a lower body injury, and may be available for selection.  

St. Louis FC Report: Saint Louis FC currently occupies the last playoff spot in the West and holds a 6 point lead over ninth-place San Antonio FC. Saint Louis is led by Kyle Greig, who leads the team with 13 goals along with 2 assists. Midfielders Wal Fall and Joey Calistri also figure into the attack, with five goals each on the year.
